How It Started.
Oyster Gardens set out to create one of Sydney’s most sought-after annual events — a premium dining experience celebrating Australia’s finest oysters. Guests would be taken on a culinary tour of the country’s best oyster regions, with perfectly matched wines, rich storytelling, and a deep dive into each mollusc’s heritage. More than an indulgence, the event aimed to support local producers, showcase the beauty of Australia’s coastline, and promote tourism.
The challenge was to craft a brand identity that embodied the elegance, exclusivity, and aspirational nature of the event — appealing to an audience who value food, travel, and the finer things in life, and creating anticipation around a new must-attend fixture on Sydney’s culinary calendar.
What We Did About It.
We created a brand world that reflects the refinement and sensory allure of Oyster Gardens. The logo — finely balanced and exquisitely detailed — was designed to feel as though it had been cut from mother-of-pearl, its elegance underpinned by a timeless typographic structure. It captures the exclusivity of the event while remaining warm and inviting.
Every touchpoint, from menus to invitations to event signage, was crafted with precision and restraint, using a sophisticated colour palette and tactile finishes to convey luxury. The result is an identity that elevates the experience from an event into an occasion — one that feels as considered and artful as the dishes served, and leaves a lasting impression long after the final oyster shell is cleared.
