What We Did About It.

The rebrand begins with a powerful idea: great water makes better tasting drinks. This belief is distilled into a new brand identity that flows with intention and quiet confidence. The refreshed marque features a stylised cascade of water — fine, architectural linework forming a silhouette of kunanyi / Mount Wellington. It’s a nod to nature and structure, purity and process. A hand-rendered wordmark complements it — strong yet restrained — paying homage to the brand’s settler roots with a refined, timeless presence.

The packaging design is purposefully minimal, allowing the purity of the source to speak through. A crisp white backdrop brings a sense of calm and clarity, while curated accent colours and subtle crafted elements bring flavour and personality to the forefront. The result is a cohesive, elevated portfolio — from sodas to mixers to cordials — unified under a single elegant system.

Cascade now feels every bit as premium and pure as the water it’s built on. More than just a drink, it’s a quiet celebration of quality — an invitation to slow down and Make It Amazing.

How It Started.

Cascade is one of Australia’s oldest and most storied beverage brands — born in 1832 at the base of kunanyi / Mount Wellington, Tasmania. What began as a brewery would, by 1886, expand into aerated waters, cementing Cascade as a pioneer of Australian refreshment. Over 150 years later, the brand remained trusted, but its identity had grown visually fragmented and no longer reflected the purity, sophistication, and quiet pride that defined its origin.

Our task was to reimagine Cascade for today’s discerning drinker — one who appreciates provenance, simplicity and craft. The opportunity lay in restoring the brand’s authority while elevating it with modern clarity and elegance. We sought to express what Cascade has always stood for — pure, premium refreshment — in a way that felt both deeply familiar and entirely new.
